Product Description

Ningshu Vermiculite is a naturally occurring mineral expanded at high temperature to produce aerated particles - 90% air by volume. Vermiculite is a mineral composed mainly of clay and mica that is expanded under high heat. It is very light and airy and has good water retention. Vermiculite is generally used in conjunction with other media as it is too light to give decent support to the root structure.

Vermiculite is an ecologically pure natural ore. It contains calcium, magnesium, potassium, aluminum, iron, silicon oxides, thanks to which the vaccinated eggiculite is successfully used for plant growth.

The predominant exchangeable cation is magnesium, and the Cation Exchange Capacity ("CEC") of Exfoliated Vermiculite is 90-100 meq/100g.
