The name "mica" is derived from the Latin "micare," which means "to glitter" or also "to shine". Mica is a naturally occurring group of silicate minerals that has a perfect basal cleavage, easily splits into thin luminae, and is most often translucent in appearance. It has been used as a gleaming decorative element since prehistoric times; in fact, the earliest usage of mica was found in cave paintings made during the Paleolithic period!1. NATURAL MICA FLAKE

Colored Mica Flakes is made by selected mica, it is processed by multi-stage treatment, and then chemically treated,The colored rock chip make up the weakness of the natural rock chip which the color is not bright and less variety.

Mica flakes offer a wide variety of aesthetic effects which become achievable with two different particle sizes and colours. The achieved finishes can be described as granite, flecked, glittering/sparkling or metallic lustre.
All colours and grades are resistant to UV, weather, chemical and thermal degradation and also compatible with a choice of organic and inorganic matrices and systems.
